Introduction to Mundan (First Haircut)
Mundan, also called Chudakarana, is a sacred Hindu ritual performed to cut a child’s hair for the first time. It is one of the 16 Samskars (sacred rites of passage) and symbolizes the removal of negativity and past life karma, purifying the child and promoting health, strength, and longevity.
